Learn how today’s appliances are getting both smaller and bigger

Appliances today are getting larger – with spectacular 12-burner cooktops; mammoth ovens that bake a turkey, two casseroles and a pie simultaneously; refrigerators that store a side of beef; and car-wash-sized dishwashers. Along with “bigger is better,” now comes “smaller is superior,” too.

Mini slide-out drawer ovens now are offered as convenience products (only 1.2 cubic feet) for quickie meals. And small-kitchen refrigerators are available, too, from half size down to super-mini portables for dorm rooms, camping or travel. A brand-new mini microwave clothes dryer is on the horizon and will be available soon, as well!
