Hide, Seek and No Find – On the House

Hide, Seek and No Find

Safe-deposit boxes were introduced  in 1865. Ironically, it was the same day as the Watergate break-in of 1972.

For hundreds of years, folks have known, if you’ve got something valuable or important or a secret you want to keep, better hide if from those who also want it. Besides a safe deposit box or a fireproof safe for your home, there are many ways to protect valuables.

One is a fake heating vent. Just cut a hole between wall studs, up high, away from other vents using the same type louvered vent cover. Shop around. There are also fake soda cans, fake spray products and cleaning products with false bottoms that unscrew to reveal a hiding place inside. In your fridge, under the sink, or in a cabinet, they’re hard to find for a nervous thief in a hurry. Think about it and you’ll come up with some of your own. Be clever and take a bite out of crime.
