Scratch repair: Coffee, tea or?

Do you have a a treasured cabinet in your home or maybe a favorite piece of fine furniture that has a scratch on the top or side? You can make scratches go away with a little trick often used by restoration pros. For dark finishes, mix 1 teaspoon of instant coffee in 1 tablespoon of water (vegetable oil sometimes works even better depending on the type of wood). Then add more water or coffee as needed to match the surface color (apply with a small brush or soft cloth). For lighter colors, use instant tea instead. And that's the On The House Tip for today.
