Storage tubes

"Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" made its debut on TV this day in 1967, reminding us how nice a neighborhood can be -- helping us solve some of life's little problems. Do you have scraps of wood and trim cluttering your workshop? Are you keeping too many small pieces? There is something you can get to end the clutter -- storage tubes. That brings us back to the neighborhood, your neighborhood. The next time you're strolling around town, keep your eyes open for construction sites where gutters are being installed on a new or existing home. Then ask the contractor or owner if you can have a few short scraps of down spout. Different lengths are fine. Lash them together and fill them with all your scraps. Stand them up or lay them down, it doesn't matter. These "storage tubes" will end "leftover" clutter. For more tips, visit our Web site at onthehouse.com. And that's the On The House tip for today.
