Tip of the Day

Sanding Pole / Mop Combo

In 1909, Robert Peary discovered the North Pole. In 1911, Ronald Amundsen discovered the South Pole. Soon after, man discovered the sanding pole -- a nifty device that allows us to sand way up high without using a scaffold or climbing a ladder. Because most of us do this infrequently, we usually use a scaffold or climbing a ladder. But, you can rig a temporary sanding pole out of most any household sponge mop. Just loosen the screws holding the sponge head, wrap it with the sandpaper you choose, replace the wrapped sponge and tighten the screws. Then sand away. And there's another nice part: when you're finished, remove the sandpaper and mop up any dusty mess. And that's the On The House tip for today.
