It's a "Bounce" World

Looking for an all-purpose insect repellant? A combination cleaner-upper and deodorant? The answer lies just inside your laundry room door. We refer to those little sheets of anti-static fabric softener that you throw in the dryer with your laundry. Who knew they were so useful? They're great for repelling insects. Lay a sheet near ants and watch them disappear. Both gardeners and golfers tie them through belt loops to keep mosquitoes and bees away. They're capable of deodorizing hampers, drawers, cars, sneakers and more, and also are fine little household cleaner-uppers. They pick up pet hair, dissolve soap scum from shower doors and make great anti-static dusting wipes for TV screens and mini-blinds. A sheet soaked in a pan of water overnight even softens tough baked-on foods. They also attract sawdust -- just like a tack cloth. And that's the On The House tip for today.
