Tip of the Day

Home is where the Hearth is

You say you don’t have a fireplace, and can’t afford to build one.  Well cheer up, cause adding a factory built pre-fab fireplace just may be the answer.  They’re called zero-clearance units.  Because they’re heavily insulated and designed to provide a cool outer surface, while a crackling fire burns inside, these wood burning units can be easily installed on any wall or in any corner in virtually any room for as little as $2500, and usually with little structural work and usually without additional floor support.  With glass doors, hi-tech circulation and venting outside air feeds and blowers move heated air.  These pre-fabs are far more energy efficient than their masonry counterparts and experts say they add big value to your home.  Returning as much as 130% of the installation cost!
