If you've got a garden, in addition to bugs, you've had late-night visits from snails and slugs. These little party insects just love beer. Seems they're drawn to it like bees to honey. Just empty about one-third of a bottle of beer, then bury the bottle with the remaining beer upright in your garden. They'll find it if you leave the open neck sticking out of the ground about one inch. The snails and slugs fall in and can't get out. For larger snails with shells, pour beer into a shallow dish and the same thing occurs. It's a beach-blanket bye-bye at the old Bud pool. And that's the On The House tip for today.
