Spotting Nail Holes

When you're "spotting" (filling) nail holes in trim, patching small cracks or filling minor dents, you might be wondering what's best to us -- putty, caulk or filler. One trip to the hardware store and you'll realize you have endless options. Choosing the right one can be tricky. If that's not enough, here's another option that might already be sitting out in your garage waiting to the job. We recommend using auto-body filler to fill nail holes and patch small cracks. This 2-part putty cures chemically, producing a rock-hard sandable material that makes repairs and dents nearly invisible. Scratches and gouges disappear like magic -- cracks and nail holes, too. And that's the On The House tip for today.
