Sometimes when you lie down to try to sleep, little things will keep you awake. If you're a light sleeper, even very little things can do it -- like dripping water, a clock or even a noisy little insect, like a cricket, in the house. While we can't fix your faucet or stop time, we can help solve the latter problem. If you want to catch a pesky cricket that's been around for days, here's how. Dampen a few washcloths and spread them out in both your kitchen and bathroom sinks. Put additional washcloths on dinner plates and set them on the floor near where you think the cricket's hanging out. Then go to bed. You'll find your noisy roommate snoozing away in one of the washcloths in the morning. And that's the On The House tip for today.
