Tip of the Day

Sticky Situations

There are many kinds of sticky situations. On this date in 1962, JFK dealt with the Cuban Missile crisis. However, for most, sticky situations are smaller in scope. Say it's hot and humid and your postage stamps start sticking together. Don't throw them out, put them in the freezer instead; they'll come right apart. If you have a roll of tape that's lost its zip -- whether masking tape or a black electrical roll -- heat will bring it back and restore holding power. Just warm it with a hair dryer or put it in the microwave oven on 50-percent power, for a minute or two. When photographs stick together face to face, soak them in warm water and they'll float apart. And that's the On The House tip for today.
