Tip of the Day

Daytime Soap Superstars

Today's a big day in the history of soaps. Individually wrapped bars first were introduced in 1830 and liquid soap was introduced this very same day in 1865. Todat these soaps really perform. If you have a zipper that won't open smoothly, rub it with bar of soap. Soap applied to screw threads alows screws to go into hardwoods more easily. Saw blades lubricated with soap cut better, too. If you have windows and drawers that stick, a lube job with soap will do the trick. Liquid soap or detergent in water helps remove wallpaper because it is a wetting agent that helps water hold and soak into the surface faster and better. Soaps are not just for washing anymore. And that's the On The House tip for today.
