When Hollywood honors a star, it sometimes places their signatures and handprints and footprints in wet cement for all to see. Folks come to see their favorites like Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe, Rin Tin Tin and the Duke -- John Wayne. You can make a permanent family record too, by casting mom and dad, kids and dogs, grandma and grandpa and important personal dates in concrete. Just whip up some concrete mix and use a shallow form; a square box or round garbage can lid will do fine. Pour in a few inches of concrete and have friends and family members sign names, scratch in dates of significance and leave hand-, foot-, and whatever- prints. Then use them as stepping stones and in sidewalks for future generations to see. And that's the On The House tip for today.
