When you set out to start fixing up the ranch and bring your sawhorse out of the barn, don't just start in working 'cause there are a lot of ways to saddle up that filly. First, get some old tin cans or plastic soda bottles. Nail them to each end to contain small tools such as screwdrivers and pliers. Then add a running board along one side of the top rail made from rain gutters with end caps. This will be a repository for for bigger tools. Add a hook for rolled-up extension cords. You can even carpet the top rail. Then nail or glue a yardstick along the side for quick-draw measurements. A pegboard triangle, like the one on Cookie's chuckwagon, attached to each end right over the cross brace, allows you to hang and find whatever you need without a lot of rustling around. And that's the On The House tip for today.
