If you have bare studs then drywall is a good start. Then tackle floors. Clean grease spots with cat litter and coca-cola. Next, use chlorine bleach and powdered laundry detergent in very hot water. Then hang as much stuff as you can on walls and from the ceiling. Then add shelves, cabinets and paint.
