Tip of the Day

Painting Tricky Stuff

Masterpiece Theatre debuted on this day in 1971 and it brought a classy new look to television. If you’ve got something at your place that’s also unique and different that you are trying to give a new look with a fresh coat of paint like shutters, a fence or a deeply carved antique, here’s how to get into the little nooks and crannies of your masterpiece without dripping and splattering paint or stain all over your hands, face, walls and floor. Then put the mitt or sock on; dip it in your paint and smoosh and squoosh away. You will find slats, grillwork and filigrees are easy and when you are through, just throw your handy brush away. And that's the On The House tip for today...
