Tip of the Day

Home-Based Business Homes

Today, over 10 million businesses are home-based. That's 50%-plus? and continued growth is expected! Today you'll learn how new homes are changing and builders are re-arranging to meet the needs of tomorrow's telecommuters. Indeed, in Ladera Ranch, California, twenty-two new homes were recently completed--designed to better accommodate a home-based business. The big difference? Two front doors! One opens into the owner's traditional living space, which is about half the area under the roof. The other ?front? door opens into a traditional office or store space, which represents the other half of the structure. The two are separated by a sturdy wall. County officials established new zoning and building codes that include customer parking, public restrooms, and proper handicap access. So how's it going over? To date, the pricey $600,000 ?biz homes? have attracted more than 150 buyers! Are ?home-based business homes? coming to a neighborhood near you? Could be!
