These days, products come with stick-on labels that describe what
they are and what they cost. They're supposed to peel right off -- easily. Did you ever succeed in getting one off easily? They tear, separate, rip and shred -- leaving a gooey mess you can't get off. You scrape with a razor blade and use solvents to cut the goo, but sometimes it dulls the surface. When a sticky label won't let go, heat it for a minute or two with a hair dryer. Feel inside until a little warmth comes through, then peel the label back slowly. It should come off cleanly. If there's any residue left, heat it again, and dab with the sticky side of the removed label. It'll pick up any residual goo. And that's the On The House Tip for today.
