Tip of the Day

Caulking Time (Here Again)

Today, somewhere between 8:30 and 11:30AM, it's officially autumn (depending on where you live.) Today you'll learn it's also time to seal out winter chills that reduce your comfort and raise energy bills. The number one goal is to seal small air leaks around siding, windows, and doors that not only allow energy to escape, but also allow water and moisture to enter that can damage wood, ruin insulation, and possibly even trigger serious mold spores. The easy solution is to close off all cracks and seams with a good high-performance sealant like the outdoor window, door and siding caulk by Polyseamseal. One of our favorite stand-by's, it adheres to almost any exterior surface. It's water-based and remains flexible when cured, allowing up to 25% joint movement in all weather conditions. With Old Man Winter just around the corner, why wait? Start saving as much as 10% on your energy bills today!
