Stud Trek: The Next Generation

Star Trek debuted on TV this day in 1966, and in 1987, Star Trek: The Next Generation took over. Just as Captain Kirk became Captain Picard, a changing of the guard is taking place in tools, too.

Tools that find wall studs just got better; they not only find 'em and beep, now they center, trace wires, and go deep! Stud Trek: The Next Generation is actually new ?Centervision? technology by the folks at planet Zircon. Just one pass finds and lights the center of studs, while one model also traces electrical wiring and another also detects metal pipes and studs and locates hot AC wiring.

Both new Centervision models also have dual-sensitivity deep scan that reads up to one-and-a-half inches in—for Stud Trek: Deep Space Find, with a handy hi-tech LED spotlite pointing system that ?marks? the center with a bright red line. Look for new Centervision this month, it launches a new era in stud finding!
