Recently we told you how some everyday products are showing up as
medical marvels. For example, Super Krazy Glue was used by medics in Vietnam and now by doctors stateside as super bandages. Today, you'll learn how another workshop favorite -- duct tape -- is also racking up points in the world of medicine. Medical researchers have recently discovered that a small patch of plain old silvery duct tape is far better at removing warts than the standard widely used procedure of freezing them off with liquid nitrogen. While not a pretty subject, it is an important find and useful knowledge for anyone with this problem. After wearing duct tape patches over their warts for only six days, then removing cleaning and repeating, subjects' warts disappeared within only 28 days. Not only was the procedure less painful and less costly, but it succeeded 85 percent of the time while freezing only works 60 percent of the time. And that's the On The House Tip for today.
