Lynda Carter, who played Wonder Woman on TV, was born on this day. As Diana Prince, a mild-mannered secretary, she simply whirled when trouble was afoot and re-emerged as Wonder Woman. In one episode, Diana wanted to redecorate her dull and drab apartment with some elegant crown molding as seen in the home magazines. However, she had a rental apartment and she neither wanted to make the investment or do all the work involved with crown molding. Pondering this dilemma, she suddenly whirled and Wonder Woman took over. Venturing out, she was back in minutes with new ?easy crown molding? made of thin molded white plastic that cuts with scissors and goes up with no tools or tricky mitered corners. Once cut to size, she simply peeled the backing off the adhesive strip, pressed it into place, and she was done! With a whirl, Diana Prince re-appeared, amazed that her room was now elegant. And yet, her budget was still intact, thanks to Wonder Woman and easy crown molding.
