Fold-out Wall (Aboard) Beds

On this day in 1858, George Pullman invented the first railroad sleeping car. It had foldout upper and lower berths that brought comfort and luxury to train travel. Today, you can add a bit of Pullman-style comfort and luxury in your home office, too. The way to double your pleasure and double your fun, (putting two rooms in one) is a wall bed or a ?Murphy? bed. During the day it folds up out of the way and the room looks just like a regular den or office. At night, when days work is done or company comes, a full, soft bed lowers into place and becomes a cozy and inviting bedroom. It's the way to put two rooms in one. And that's the On The House tip for today.
