Palletmania

Today they're everywhere -- millions of pallets in warehouses, stores and businesses of every kind. They're stacked, racked, loaded and hauled from floor to ceiling and wall to wall. Pallets are popular, and now palletmania can benefit you, too. If your basement is damp, storing items on pallets lets air circulate all around to keep things dry and mildew-free. Building supplies need to be kept dry, too, making a few pallets in the garage a good idea, too. Cement, for instance, needs to be kept moisture-free, and for concrete floors in work areas a couple of pallets covered with plywood makes a much more comfortable and warm surface to stand on. You can even cut them up for wood projects. Many are made of oak. Others can be used for firewood. And that's the On The House tip for today.
