Tip of the Day

Ad-dress for Success

Author Sinclair Lewis was born on this day in 1885. He won the Nobel Prize in Literature for a book titled "Main Street." Whether you live on Main Street or Elm Street or any street in Anytown U.S.A., it's important to have your house number clearly displayed at all times so you can be easily found by friends, delivery services, like U.P.S. and Fed/Ex, and, in a serious emergency, by police, firemen, doctors, paramedics and ambulances. Numbers should be large, clearly displayed and well-lighted. Display house numbers roadside. Reflective or luminous surfaces help too. You can now buy solar powered-lighted numbers and special emergency light switches that flash porch lights, making it easier for others to find you. And that's the On The House tip for today.
