Soft "C" Clamps

Wayne Rogers, who played Trapper John on M*A*S*H, was born on this day. For those in the 4077th, MASH stood for Mobile Army Surgical Hospital. But in your home workshop, it probably means you're tightening your C-clamps a little too tightly. However, as in the 4077^th, there is a simple solution. Various adjustable C-clamps are handy tools to have, but sometimes they can, and do, leave unsightly dents and marks. This can easily be prevented by placing small circular tabs on both the top and bottom jaws (the type you put on table and chair legs). They have a soft carpet-like face and peel-and-stick backing. For better holding power, first roughen the surface of the clamp jaws with sandpaper so the tabs don't slip around under pressure. With softer C-clamps on your work bench, you won't mash your projects and leave nasty marks and dents on them.

Cleaning Concrete
Choosing cleaners is just part of the answer. How you mix them is the solution.
