Laminate Flooring Workbench

Chips in your workbench surface along with deep gouges and messy stains mean you are ready for a bench top retread. Interested in a smart and easy solution? Try resurfacing with pieces of laminate flooring. Use either scraps or home-center bargain buys. The pieces make an excellent workbench surface -- smooth, tough and easy to clean. Paint drips and dried glue blobs are easily scraped from this surface. And, if you choose snap-together flooring, you can leave the top basically free-floating, with just a few edge nails holding it in place. When it starts showing a bit of wear, just remove it and replace it. Not only will it look like new time after time, you also can change wood grains as you wish --oak today, maple next time.
