Tip of the Day

Button-down Tape-end Finder

Scotch Tape was invented by Richard Drew on this day in 1928. Before long, those first clear rolls ballooned into hundreds of other types: masking and electrical to name a couple. Soon, most American homes and workshops had a complete inventory of tape --rolls and rolls of the stuff. Tape is handy to have -- if you can find it when you need it, and can find the end so you can use it. A tape tip: To better organize your rolls of tape, put them on a toilet-paper holder -- in the basement or in the garage. To make finding the cut ends easier to locate, place a button on the sticky side of each one. You'll never again have to scratch and search for the point where it starts.

Convert Sprinkler to Drip System for Garden
A drip-irrigation system allows you to control exactly how much water will be dispensed, and the water never hits the blossoms.
