Tool Recycling

Got an old power drill you're ready to retire? How about a so-so tool box that's been replaced by a new one? Today you'll learn how to put old tools to work building homes for those in need. Your local Habitat for Humanity affiliate can put your old tools to work at the local community level building low-income housing and shelters. The organization also operates a national network of Habitat for Humanity 'restores? where quality used tools and surplus materials are sold retail to the public at a fraction of their original cost to help raise money for the organization and ultimately to build more homes. If you?d like to help, go to habitat.org. Click on ?site directory?, then 'restores? to locate one near you. To date, Habitat has built 150,000 houses worldwide to house more than 75,000 people in 3,000 communities with safe, decent, and affordable shelter. Your old tools can help build even more homes!
