Fridge Factoids And Insights

Want to make vegetables last longer and keep ice cubes from sticking together? Today you'll learn how to keep various things fresh, crisp and bright with our refrigerator factoids and insights! To make celery last longer, wrap it in aluminum foil. Crumpled newspaper in the vegetable bin helps keep produce crisp and fresh. Turn cottage cheese and tomatoes upside down and they'll last twice as long. Store fresh eggs with the large end up and the yolk will stay centered. Also, you can easily slice a cool mushroom with an egg slicer. To keep plastic wrap from sticking to itself, store it in the fridge, and to keep ice cubes from sticking together, keep 'em in a sealed plastic bag. Also, there's only one vegetable that's never sold frozen, canned, processed, or cooked, or in any other form than fresh: lettuce!
