Drywall Electrical Boxes

Cutting openings in drywall for electrical boxes is hit-and-miss no matter how carefully you measure. Today you'll learn how to get it right every time with ?stamp pad? logic that transfers lines. From deep within the Carey Brothers vault of getting things from here to there, we bring office tricks we?d like to share. Indeed, it says here that the easy way to mark exact cuts is to run a strip of self-adhesive foam weather stripping all around the front edge of the electrical box. Then roll on some ?stamp pad? ink from a refill bottle with a roll-top ball. Once the weather strip is thoroughly inked, press the drywall in place against the box, and when you remove it, you'll have a perfect outline showing where to cut. You can then either remove it before installing or leave the weather strip in place for an airtight seal around the boxes. Why struggle with openings for outlets and switches when you can ?stamp? perfect cuts every time?
