Tip of the Day

True-Blue Facts / Did You Know?

There is a lot that light blue can do! Also called ice, sky, and powder, light blue is cool! Today you'll learn some true-blue facts we'll bet you didn't know, such as this: designers consider light blue a "companion" color. Used alone, it is too "cool" for visual comfort, yet, when paired with warm or neutral tones, it ranges from sophisticated and fresh to downright amazing! Porch ceilings are traditionally painted a high-gloss light blue to create an airy illusion of height and light, often out-dazzling the 'real' sky of blue. Scientists swear it helps repel insects too. Ice blue is also a great choice for interior ceilings, especially in schools and offices. As color researchers have repeatedly proven, people who take tests under a blue ceiling consistently score 10 percent higher! Marketing-wise, it is said to also promote action, thus, once-golden aqua velva became ice blue, and viagra, well, you know?! Blue...what it can do for you?
