Tip of the Day

Instant Dimmer Switch

In the classic TV show "The Honeymooners", Ralph Kramden always tried to impress his wife with his wisdom and schemes, usually with disastrous results. But he finally got things right when he and Norton decided to do something special for Alice and Trixie on Valentine's Day. Having little cash to work with, they headed to the hardware store for inspiration. Steam iron? Vacuum cleaner? "Way too expensive!" whined Norton. "Got it!" said Ralph, heading to the electronics aisle. "Got what?" said Norton (close behind.) Aisle six held the answer: a tabletop dimmer switch! Ralph bought one and so did Norton. At home they impressed the girls with how 'smart' they were. ?It's easy to install - just plug it in! No more expensive 3-way bulbs to buy. Bulbs dimmed 50% use 40% less electricity and they last 20 times longer! Ain't that somethin? That evening Ralph really did send Alice 'to the moon' with soft lights and Valentine's Day romance, to which she responded, "Baby, you're the greatest!"
