Septic garbage disposal

Does your home have a septic tank? If so, you must be careful what goes into it. Homeowners who have one must use caution, especially with garbage disposals. Avoid grinding foods with much grease and oil; they form a solid surface layer that floats rather than sinking to the bottom, where enzymes and natural biochemicals are hard at work liquefying and decomposing the tank's sludge before it flows out into the drain field. However, life just got easier and more carefree for those with septic tanks and garbage disposals. A new septic disposer, made just for this purpose, automatically injects a charge of bioenzymes into the grind chamber -- adding more than 300 million little enzyme-producing microorganisms every time it's operated. In turn, it gobbles up grease and oil faster and keeps one's septic tank functioning as it should. And that's the On The House Tip for today.
