Think outdoor cooking is only for summer? Today, in spite of some of
the coldest weather on record, there's a winter grilling movement afoot that manufacturers say has barbecue sales sizzling. Homeowners are shoveling snow and ice off their decks, patios and porches and firing up their frozen barbecues for a little midwinter taste of summer vittles. Manufacturers are responding accordingly with things like a special high-temp propane grill; icy-cold weather now won't slow down the steaks. And there's a canvas-covered ventilated cooking tent to ward off the elements while you flip burgers. Many barbecue manufacturers now introduce new models in January rather than in July. And that's the On The House Tip for today.
