Laundry detergent watering can

Want an easy-to-fill, easy-to-pour watering can? Better yet, one that's easy to make and free? Here's how to recycle from something right off your laundry room shelf. Stop throwing away liquid laundry detergent containers; with a little bit of ingenuity and modification, they make excellent watering cans. Remove the cap and drill a series of 1/8-inch holes in the top. Drill a 1/2-inch hole just above the handle in the bottle itself, so the water flows freely. Be sure to rinse it out thoroughly first, or use your first 10 fill-ups to water any weeds you've been meaning to kill. And that's the On The House Tip for today.
