Flour power

Proper lawn care and maintenance often involve reseeding and fertilizing, but when you use a mechanical hand spreader, it's hard to tell exactly where your seeds and fertilizer are going. Today, you'll learn how to see where you've been, so you don't have to repeat the process. When using a mechanical hand spreader, it's easy to tell where you've already seeded or fertilized if you first add a little flour to your mix -- regular white flour used for baking. Then, when you're spreading, you can see where the seeds and fertilizer are landing. And, flour won't hurt your lawn; it washes right off. And that's the On The House Tip for today.
