Drywall Corner Clips

Today, you'll learn about drywall clips. They corner the market in building tricks in conventional residential construction. An extra 2x4 stud usually is added in corners as support where two drywall panels come together, and as a backer stud for nailing into. However, a growing number of contractors now use make-sense drywall clips instead. These clips are first attached to the corners, and then the drywall panels are attached to the clip. This eliminates adding the extra corner stud, saving both time and material. And, it leaves more space inside the wall which is especially good for increasing the insulation R-levels in outside walls. Drywall clips -- a nifty little building product that's cornering the market in moneysaving building tricks. If you haven't tried them, do so. And that's the On The House tip for today.
