Tip of the Day

Develop X-ray Vision

Actress Bette Davis was born this day in 1908. It was said she had piercing eyes that could see right through you. When you're doing remodeling or repair work at your house "Bette Davis eyes" could be a real advantage. When you cut into a wall who knows what's in there? Wires and pipes? Wish you could see inside? With just a little advance planning and effort, you can. Whenever walls are open during remodeling or to make a repair, grab your camera and photograph what's in there. Later, when you develop your vacation pictures and photos of Aunt Jane's visit, pull them out and put them aside. The next time you go to work on that area, you'll have x-ray vision of what's lurking inside. Even better, add a tape measure in your pics and you'll have a precise location fix. And that's the On The House tip for today.
