Got telemarketers calling every hour -- even when you're in the shower? Now you can eliminate most of these annoying calls, once and for all, with a little device called the "Tele-zapper". The unit itself is small (just a few inches square). To install it, just plug it into any phone jack and then plug your phone line into the "Tele-zapper". Nine of 10 telemarketing calls are dialed by computer. Now when you -- or your answering machine -- picks up such a call, the unit detects it in one-third of a second and "zaps" it with a special reverse-signal tone that says your number is disconnected. Your number then is permanently removed from the telemarketer's list. This means they won't be calling again, and, thanks to Tele-zapper, your number won't be sold or passed on to others. It's inexpensive, effective and positively ingenious. Before you know it (for only about 50 bucks), those annoying calls will just about stop altogether. Now when it rings you'll want to answer! And that's the On The House tip for today.
