Exciting Lighting

"The Tonight Show" premiered on this day in 1954. Over its 47-year run, numerous hosts brought many new and exciting performers into our homes. Other things now add excitement in our homes. Dramatic rope lights and cable-illumination systems are turning average rooms in average homes into breathtaking showplaces. And converting regular old backyard decks into stunning theatrical settings. These lights, contained in flexible clear tubing, can be bent, curved, shortened or lengthened. And the low-voltage mini-bulbs themselves can be clear or a myriad of dazzling colors. Rope and cable lighting can be used outdoors to outline decks or under hand railings or on stairs to light the way. Indoors this lighting can be used under cabinets or around moldings. They can throw soft, indirect, long runs of light in, on or around almost anything. Your only limitation is budget, time and imagination. Look for them at your local hardware store. You can turn your home into a shimmering showplace. And that's the On The House tip for today.
