Tip of the Day

Meeps, Squeaks and Chirps?

"The Beverly Hillbillies" made its TV debut on this day in 1962 when Jed Clampett, Granny, Ellie Mae, Jethro and all their critters invaded the hills of Beverly. If strange critters have moved into your space, and suddenly you're hearing the chirp of birds and the meep and squeak of squirrels from your chimney, it's time for action. To get rid of these pesky varmints living in your chimney flue, fill a large flat pan with ammonia and set it inside the hearth. The fumes gently waft skyward and send a message to your noisy and messy little visitors (they'll soon be skedaddlin'). And that's the On The House tip for today.
