Interior Design Tools

Are you planning some changes in your house? Buying a new couch? Redoing the kitchen? Rearranging furniture? Shopping for chairs? Having the right planning tools makes redecorating living space easy. Here's how to take your home with you when you shop, and how to bring items home to try, before you buy. Two important interior design tools pros use are cameras and graph paper. First they photograph key rooms and areas. Then they make a detailed floor plan to scale, showing every door, window, nook and cranny. They make extra blank copies to work on. First, they plan and try many new ideas and room layouts. Then, they go shopping and take the home along. When they find things they like, they measure, try it to scale on the floor plan, photograph it and bring it home (using pictures) first. And that's the On The House tip for today.
