Hollywood-tough-guy James Cagney once had kitchen sink drain problems. The drain began backing up and became clogged. Try as he might, with drain augers and a plumber's snake, he couldn't break through the wad of goop jamming up the pipe. After muttering his classic ?you dirty clog,? he hatched a brilliant idea. Stuffing a garden hose as far as he could down drain, he told his sidekick ?Noodles? Romanoff to hook up the other end, and wait for his signal. After tightly packing wet rags around the hose, he yelled to Noodles ?OK,? and Noodles turned the valve, unleashing a fierce stream of pressure that blasted the clog almost into the next county. ?Turn it off," Cagney yelled, withdrawing the hose.
