50 Uses for Baking Soda

Baking soda has at least 50 different uses around the house. A box in the fridge captures bad odors -- in the freezer, too. A few sprinkles in sneakers works wonders and this process will eliminate pet odors on carpets, too. You can brush your teeth with it or make a paste to clean silver. Add lemon juice to it to clean copper pots, and put it in water to make an antacid for indigestion. Trouble getting rubber gloves on? Sprinkle in some baking soda and they'll slip right on. Got a clogged drain? Mix 1 cup of baking soda with 1 cup of salt and 1 cup of vinegar; pour it in your drain followed by boiling water. We're discovering new uses for baking soda every day. And that's the On The House tip for today.
