Electric Prices – "Going Up!"

Singer Debbie Boone was born today in 1956 in Hackensack, N.J. She’s best known for her shining hit “You light up my life.” If saving money makes a hit at your house, consider taking a tip from Debbie and saving energy bucks by lighting up your life, too. Dirty, dusty light bulbs put out 20 percent less light than clean ones, often causing you to turn on a second light and to use extra electricity. Also, vacuum lampshades. They collect dust and also block light from shining through. With today’s higher prices, these two adjustments could save as much as $10 dollars worth of electricity per lamp, per year. And you'll have better light to see by, too. And that's the On The House tip for today.
