Towel Warmer in Your Bathroom

Hate waking up to a chilly house? Do you crank up your thermostat first thing in the morning? In Europe many homes use a simple device to solve this problem and to add a bit of luxury too. It's a towel warmer for the bathroom. You?d be surprised how nice a warm towel feels after a shower on a chilly morning. It warms you, and eliminates the need to turn up the heat too high, too quickly. Towel heaters, like those found in Europe, have electric heating elements inside metal bars on shelves or hanging racks. They use only about 70 watts of electricity, and can be programmed to turn on before wake-up time. That way you have a warm towel waiting when you step out of the shower. They come in many styles, from wall- and floor-mounted racks to shelves. One of the best types hooks right on the hinges behind the bathroom door. It swings out when the door is closed, and it's hidden away behind the door when not in use. Now if the butler had a spot of tea and crumpets waiting. Indeed. And that's the On The House tip for today.
