Smoosh & Squoosh a Masterpiece

There's a new art technique called "smooshing" that has average homeowners and do-it-yourself painters creating works of art left and right. To "smoosh" a wall, paint it with any color, any type of paint. Then while it's still wet, press a plastic drop cloth onto the painted surface. The wet paint will hold it in place. Then just peel the plastic away and -- voila -- your wall will have the look of fine-polished marble. Smooshing is fun, and once you get the hang of it, nothing will be safe from you. Smoosh your desk, bookcase or car. Then try "squooshing" with a sponge. Instead of using a brush and stroking back and forth, you dip and dab, dip and dab -- using various colors and sponges for different effects. The possibilities are endless and the results are amazing. Go ahead, smoosh and squoosh a masterpiece. You'll love it! And that's the On The House tip for today.
