Tip of the Day

Pressure Washers

We frequently mention pressure washers and the many uses they have around the home. You can wash moss right off of concrete or make dark redwood decks bright red again. You can clean garden tools, windows, doors, screens, barbecue grills, and blast spiderwebs and insect nests into the next county. And that's just for starters. Now we're not saying every home should have one, but maybe you rented one in the past. Bet you hated to return it didn't you? We bring you the good news that prices recently have come way down. Smaller home-sized units rated about 1000 PSI, which are great for windows and other light jobs, now are available for as little as $200. Bigger home models rated from 1500- to 2000 PSI, great for driveways, decks and interstate water fights, can cost up to $500 or more. So when the family asks what you want for your birthday or Father's Day or Christmas, tell them all to chip in and buy you a pressure washer. Once they get over the shock, they'll be glad they did because they'll be living in the cleanest house in town. And that's the On The House tip for today.
