Review and Rethink Your House

Spring is here and the hustle-bustle of winter holidays is a fading memory. But not so fast. Does "people everywhere and a 30-minute wait to get in the bathroom" sound familiar? Before you're faced with this again, spring would be a really a good time to review and rethink your "home sweet home." Did having guests reveal household shortcomings _ such as a need for more room or a second bath or even a half-bath or a more workable kitchen or a guest bedroom or two? Start by remembering the inadequacies of the past, then explore designs and costs for projects you?d like to have done this spring or over the summer. And always remember the four "P's". First "prioritize." Sprucing-up and adding space always are high on the list, but do the most important things first, like maintenance and repairs before you remodel or improve. Then do the other three "P's" which are planning, planning and planning. Then let needs and budget be your guide. And that's the On The House tip for today.
